Here it is:
1. Close your browsers
2. Check where the plugin is installed: run regedit and go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\Google Talk Plugin key. Look for
string value “install_dir” – there you’ll find a path to the plugin’s
install path. Write it down! :)
3. Uninstall the plugin from Control Panel
3. Go to your install path
4. Delete uninstalled files: probably not everything was unistalled -
in my case a log file packed with bz2 extension was left and a
“googletalkplugin_port” file(!) – DELETE THEM!
5. Get a fresh copy (just in case :)) of Google video chat plugin
setup
6. Install the plugin once again
In my case it helped! :) Previously I have also reinstalled the plugin
and even my browser many times and it didn’t help. But deleting these
files helped. I hope after a system restart my video chat in google
will still be working! :)
